Skinny Buddha Tattoo

Good tattoos for good people.

What to do:

Remove bandage after 1-4 hours, or whenever you can immediately wash the tattoo.

1. Wash gently with unscented liquid antibacterial soap.

2. Dab dry with a clean paper towel or allow to air dry.

3. Moisturize with coconut oil or Hustle Butter.

Normal Healing:

-A mild amount of bleeding and discomfort are normal for the first 24 hours.

-The tattoo may feel "tight" and uncomfortable for up to four days, though most people note little discomfort by day 3.

-During the healing process, flaking is normal. Flakes are excess ink and dead skin. It will appear as though flakes of color are falling off, but color will remain in the lower layer of skin. Allow flakes to fall off and do not pick at them. Picking can lead to color loss, scabbing, and even scarring.

-Healing tattoos commonly itch after 3-5 days. Itching is normal and can be relieved with a gentle patting. Refrain from scratching, as it can pull off the flakes.

-Keeping tattoos moisturized with coconut oil or Hustle Butter can provide relief to itching, which should subside within 2 weeks.

-After the tattoo is done flaking the surface may appear shiny. This is because the epidermis is still regenerating. Shininess should disappear within a few weeks.

Things not to do:

-Do not touch the tattoo with unwashed hands.

-Do not pick scabs or flakes.

-Do not go swimming or soak for two weeks or until the tattoo is done flaking. (showering is okay just make sure its the last thing you wash in the shower, and do not use a loofah or a washcloth on it)

-Do not go tanning or expose the tattoo to direct sunlight for two weeks or until healed.

-Do not use scented lotions on the tattoo during the healing process.

-Do not use antibiotic ointment on the tattoo unless directed by a medical professional.

-Do not let animals lick the tattoo.
